Custom tile mosaic & premium coping detail renovation
The Story
The Belmont pool was structurally sound but aesthetically dated — plain white plaster, generic tile, and crumbling concrete coping. We gave it a full finish renovation with a custom mosaic, premium travertine coping, and a midnight blue pebble interior.
The Challenge
Renovating the finish of an existing pool without disturbing the structural shell requires careful demolition. Chipping out old tile and plaster near return fittings and skimmers risks damaging the embedded plumbing.
Our Solution
Our crew used precision pneumatic chippers around all fittings and drains, then hand-finished the last two inches near each penetration. Zero plumbing damage, zero leaks after refill.

From ground to glory.
Before Renovation
Dated white plaster with staining, crumbling concrete coping, and plain blue tile. The pool's bones were solid, but the finish needed a complete refresh.
Demolition
Old tile chipped off, coping removed, and plaster demolished down to the shotcrete shell. Precision work around every fitting and drain.
Surface Preparation
Shell inspected for cracks, bond coat applied, and all fittings checked and replaced where needed. The surface prepped for the new pebble finish.
Pebble Interior
Midnight blue pebble finish hand-troweled onto the pool walls and floor. The aggregate creates depth and shimmer as light plays across the water.
Mosaic & Tile
Custom mosaic medallion installed on the pool floor. Premium glass waterline tile laid in a wave pattern around the perimeter.
Coping & Refill
Tumbled travertine coping installed around the entire perimeter. Pool refilled, chemistry balanced, and equipment restarted.
Final Reveal
Midnight blue water shimmering, the mosaic visible through crystal-clear depths, travertine coping framing every edge. The Belmont Finish is a pool reborn.
